26 weeks!

Well, I can't believe it's been seven weeks since I've updated you guys! Where the heck does time go!? Anyway, sorry I suck at keeping up with this blog. Obviously, a lot has happened in the last 7 weeks...

I spent a day in labor and delivery a couple of weeks ago for contractions. Luckily they weren't dilating me at all, so they just sent me on my way! Then yesterday happened...I went in for my routine check up, and ended up having crazy blood pressure. They took my blood work, and sent me home to do a 24 hour urine test. The good news is, it looks like I'm steering clear of preeclampsia for now. The bad news is that I am being monitored very closely at weekly appointments, and they suspect ill deliver early due to blood pressure complications. I also failed my glucose test at yesterday's appointment(yesterday was not a good day) and have to go for a three hour extensive gestational diabetes test. So that's where we are at now. I've learned that things can change in the blink of an eye, so I'm trying my hardest to go with the flow. All I can do is give it my best, and the rest is up to my body. Anyways, here's a look at this weeks stats!

26 weeks

How far along? 26 weeks
Total weight gain/loss? I have gained 11 pounds so far.
Maternity clothes? Umm, yes! Half of those don't even fit anymore!
Stretch marks? My whole stomach is one big stretch mark now..
Sleep? It really depends on the night. Sometimes I sleep great, other times I'm awake all night.
Best moment this week? This is a tough one...the last few weeks haven't been great in general. There's been more bad moments than good.
Movement? SO much movement! It's the highlight of all my days.
Food cravings? Chai tea has been my thing this week...who knows why.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Still having a hard time with chicken.
Have you started to show yet? I just laugh at this question..
Gender? One of each!
Labor Signs? I did spend a day in labor and delivery last week...let's hope I don't have to visit there again for a couple more months.
Belly Button in or out? I don't know how to answer this question...my belly button is just weird these days.
Wedding rings on or off? Off and locked up safe!
Happy or Moody most of the time? I'd say I spend most of my time happy! My husband might beg to differ ;)

Till next time!

19 weeks!

Hey all!

Well, since it's been forever since I've posted, I figured I better update you guys! We recently moved into a bigger house(thank god!) and visited all of our family I'm California. It's been a very busy few weeks, and let me tell ya, I am sure feeling it!  It's gotten to the point where I am just uncomfortable ALL THE TIME...and I'm only half way there! But I guess that's enough complaining for one post ;) here's my 19 week bumpdate!

    19 weeks!

How far along? 19 weeks and 1 day
Total weight gain/loss? I totally forgot to ask at my appointment yesterday, but at my previous appointment two weeks ago, I had gained 2 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Ohh yes! Regular shirts still fit, but they are gettin snug real quick.
Stretch marks? I don't want to talk about this one...;)
Sleep? Sleep is a little more difficult now. I can't sleep on my back anymore, so sleeping on my sides is my only option...only problem with that is my hips ache in the middle of the night. I guess it comes with the territory though :)
Best moment this week? There were so many! We spent half of our week in CA, and that in itself was amazing!
Have you told family and friends? I think it's time to delete this question ;)
Movement? ALL THE TIME! I absoloutely love it.
Food cravings? The cravings have disappeared, which is ok with me. I can eat whatever we have in the house instead of only wanted that one thing!
Anything making you queasy or sick? The only thing that makes me queasy these days is my vitamins..they're just so big that they make me gag!
Have you started to show yet? Another question that needs to be deleted. Haha!
Gender? One of each!
Labor Signs? not yet, and I'm hoping to keep it that way for a long while!
Belly Button in or out? Still in!
Wedding rings on or off? They came off in CA last week...I forgot how hot it is there!
Happy or Moody most of the time? I'm always happy until the evening hits...then I'm exhausted! It's crazy how something as simple as going to Target can make you so incredibly tired!

That's it for this week! I'd tell you I will update in a week, but you probably wouldn't believe me ;)

Till next time!

14 weeks!

Hey all!

So I am 14 weeks today! I'm definitely starting to "feel pregnant." I spend most of my time sitting down, or napping. I thought my energy was supposed to come back after the first triemester!! ;) anways, here's this weeks stats!

Maternity clothes? Definitely. Non maternity shirts still fit though!
Stretch marks? They just keep showing up...there's no stopping them!
Sleep: It's getting a bit harder these days. I wake up to my back aching throughout the night.
Best moment this week: buying the babies' first clothing items! I swear Matt was more excited than I was!

Have you told family and friends? Of course!

Movement: I keep feeling little twitches, but who really knows if it's the babies or not!

Food cravings: Well right at this minute, I'm craving spaghetti. ;)

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still meat. Although I was able to choke down some chicken this week.

12 weeks!

Hey all!

So I am 12 weeks along today, and that means I am in the last week of my first trimester already! Week 11 went well, besides one little scare we had. We wound up in the emergency room on Sunday night for bleeding. Everything ended up being fine, but it was definitely not a fun evening. But anyways, here's week 12!!

12 weeks!

How far along? 12 weeks exactly!
Total weight gain/loss? I got weighed last week, and had gained a pound and a half.

Maternity clothes? Still wearing all those maternity pants!
Stretch marks? They're still there...
Sleep? Sleep is still not an issue. The only complaint I have is my back aching in the middle of the night.
Best moment this week: the best moment actually ended up being the ultrasound we had in the ER. We saw them moving around and kicking for the first time. It made Matthew cry.

Have you told family and friends? I think the secret is out ;)

Movement? They are definitely moving in there, I just can't feel them yet.

Food cravings: I've been eating a lot of apples with peanut butter lately. And tacos.

Anything making you queasy or sick: I'm still having trouble with meat.
Have you started to show yet: See above picture...
Gender prediction: I have a feeling, but it's probably wrong. So at the risk of being totally incorrect and embarrassed, I'll just wait to see if my prediction is true :)

Labor Signs: Just a tad bit early for that!

Belly Button in or out? In still.
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Happy or Moody most of the time? The moodiness is slowly declining.

That's all for this week!

Talk to you all later

Long time, no talk!

Ok guys, sorry I fell off the face of the earth! Matt's computer stopped working, and that was what I used to put my blog up! So, now I'm trying to figure out how to do it on my iPad.

So, can you believe that I am already ten and a half weeks along!? Only a couple more weeks till we're in the second trimester! I've graduated from my fertility clinic, and am now seeing my regular OB! With all that being said, I pinky promise to make sure I'm putting up my weekly blogs again! Mine as well start with week 10 :)

Week 10

Not the best picture of me!

How far along? 10 weeks and a few days

Total weight gain/loss? No weight gain or loss yet! But I'm sure that will change soon.

Maternity clothes? Maternity pants are the only pants that fit anymore! Maternity shirts are still way too big though.
Stretch marks? Unfortunately, I got them right away :(
Sleep: Still sleeping like a baby...except having to get up to pee!

Best moment this week: deciding on our stroller! Can't wait to order it!

Have you told family and friends? No secrets here ;)

Movement: Nothing yet!

Food cravings: Salads, cheese, pickles..all the good stuff ;)

Anything making you queasy or sick: Any type of meat. I'm having a hard time with protein!!
Have you started to show yet: I'd say so. You grow fast when your growing two!
Gender prediction: I honestly have no clue. Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Labor Signs: Just a tad bit early for that!

Belly Button in or out? In still.
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Happy or Moody most of the time: I have my moments.

Well, that's all I have for you tonight! Talk to you all next week!

How many babies?

Hey guys!

Soooo, we had our very first ultrasound this morning! And guess what...HE SAW TWO LITTLE SACKS IN THERE!!! Actually, he saw three, but he said one is so small that it's probably nothing. So that means that as long as there are two heartbeats next week, we have two little babes growing in there! Unfortunately, he didn't give us a picture, but oh well.

Well, this is short and sweet, but that's all the news I have to share today!

Till next time!

Hey guys!

So first of all, I just want to apologize for being off the grid for a while. The day of the transfer, I actually came home and wrote a post about it, but I got lazy and never posted it.  So, I guess we'll start from there!

We had our transfer on Monday, December 16th. My nurse called at 7:45 am and asked us to be there at 8:30. I quickly called Matt at work and we rushed down to the clinic. I wasn't allowed to wear make up, lotion, perfume, or deodorant. So basically, I looked and smelled bad. ;) We got there and I changed into my lovely hospital clothes again, and signed some paper work.

The doctor came in and gave us a picture of our beautiful little embryos and explained what would be happening. We hung out for a little while, and then the nurse came in and walked me to the O.R. I then had our two beautiful Grade AA embryos come home to me. I had to lay in the recovery room for about 20 minutes, and then we came home! Matt had to go back to work, so I made a bed on the couch and watched movies all day.

Our beautiful babies!(that kind of look like aliens :))

So a few days went by, and I was already going crazy wishing I knew if it had worked or not. So day four rolled around and I just couldn't take it anymore. So, I took a pregnancy test. I waited for a few minutes to look at it, but when I did, there was a second line(which means it's positive). It was SO faint, but it was there. So my heart skipped a beat, but I decided to wait to show Matt until I could take another test the next morning. Well, I didn't exactly make it till the next morning. That night, I took another test, and that one was clearly positive. Matt and I jumped around and couldn't believe what we were seeing. Tears filled Matthew's eyes, and we just sat there and stared at that test. We called my parents and celebrated with them, but told her not to tell anybody tell our blood test confirmed it!

So day by day, the tests got darker. Finally, the day of my blood test was here! I left the clinic after getting my blood drawn and waited anxiously for the call. Around 8:30 she called and said "Merry Christmas, your pregnant!" Those were the best words I could have ever imagined hearing. That night we called everybody and told them, and put it on facebook of course! ;)
 "Guess what...we're PREGNANT! baby Marshall's
estimated due date is September 2014!

This morning, we had our second blood test to make sure all my levels were rising correctly. She called and said my level more than doubled, and everything looked really good! Our first ultra sound is scheduled for next Friday, which is when we will find out how many babies we have growing in there! My nurse says she's sure there's two in there based on how high my levels are, but we'll know for sure in a week!

I'll be back on next week with an update and hopefully some pictures! I hope everybody had an awesome Christmas!

Till next time!
